Omnidoc: connecting doctors, patients & pharmacies
In Mexico, unregulated medicine sales mean patients often switch to cheaper generics without their doctor ever knowing. Omnidoc set out to fix that broken loop, and I was the main product designer who turned that ambition into a working product across three platforms.

The role
I led product design in a team of three, one user researcher and two product designers, working fully remote over six months. My scope covered the end-to-end experience: discovery, product definition, and the final UI for both the patient apps and the clinical web platform.
What I designed
- Patient app for iOS & Android: find specialists, book appointments, read lab results and prescriptions, and order medication online.
- Web platform for doctors, nurses and secretaries: prescriptions, lab results, schedules, fees, and SMS/email communication.
Discovery, the JTBD way
We grounded the product in Jobs-to-be-Done research: 25 patients, 20 doctors, 20 pharmacists and 3 pharmaceutical companies, including 6 marketing experts, through fully remote workshops and interviews. That research exposed the real job patients were hiring healthcare for, and where the doctor–pharmacy loop broke down.
The patient app
For patients, Omnidoc brings the whole care journey into one place: finding the right specialist, booking a visit, receiving lab results and prescriptions, and ordering medication from the online pharmacy, with home delivery tracking built in.
The clinical web platform
On the other side of the marketplace, doctors, nurses and secretaries manage their practice in the web app: digital prescriptions, lab results, appointment schedules, fees, and patient communication by SMS and email, so the care loop finally closes.
